Community Fun Fair June 15, 2013
HCS Presents: Community Fun Fair June 15, 2013 11am-1pm
We invite the entire community to be a part of this event. Organizations from all over the community are setting up booths in Meyers Park. Organizations include: Child and Adolescents, Early Childhood Resource Center, Habitat for Humanity, Senior Olympics and many more! Our teachers will run carnival games, pass out hotdogs and will be available to talk about our programs to interested families. You can even schedule an interview with the principal at our table. We will also pass out free school supplies in a HCS tote to the first 100 people who sign up for more information about Heritage. Bring your friends, neighbors and family to learn more about Heritage and the resources available to our community.

Souper Bowl of Caring
January 1
5 - February 1, bring in donations of nonperishable canned/boxed foods or monetary donations (checks made to HCS) for the Souper Bowl of Caring. The goal is to collect at least 1,000 items for families in need.
All collections of food and money will be donated to two Canton area service groups: Total Living Center and Turnaround Community Outreach. We have students groups who serve at each of these community resources throughout the year. The Total Living Center holds weekly soup kitchens at three locations that feed hundreds of people, have weekly free grocery distributions giving out more than 50,000 pounds of groceries a month, along with free clothing and medical help. The Turnaround Community Outreach serves hot meals, distributes groceries, toiletries and clothing while hosting a variety of free programs designed to help people get back into the workforce through special programs that teach and provide professional dressing, financial literacy, teach employment skills and help with housing and medical assistance.
