Annual Meeting Results

Greg Maxin, Tim Rexrode and Mike BraggThank you to all parents who attended the Annual Meeting on May 27. The proposed 2010-2011 budget passed unanimously. Members of the Heritage Association (tuition-paying parties) are encouraged to review the budget, which is available in the Main Office. Parents also received our school newsletter, "The Heritage Conqueror", which included the Year in Review report. Watch your Friday folders or your mail for that information.

In addition, members of the Heritage Association were asked to vote on only three new members of the board, per board policy. The three members who will begin service are pictured: Greg Maxin, Tim Rexrode and Mike Bragg. Thank you to these gentlemen, and thank you to all nominees for your willingness to serve and your constant support of Heritage. According to policy, nominees not voted in are able to serve on committees. In addition, board members may be appointed as needed during the year. We encourage all families to be involved in your area of gifting -- whether accounting, budgeting, marketing, planning, prayer, encouragement, teaching, serving, worship, organizing, writing, design, cleaning, decorating, coaching, maintenance and much, much more! Each gift is important to the helping the body of Christ move in this world and we would appreciate your help and ideas!

Former Green Bay Packer Visits With Heritage Students

Heritage had a special guest speaker on Tuesday, May 25, 2010.  Former Green Bay Packer, David Robinson spoke to 4th-8th grade students about making better choices.  Mr. Robinson is the spokesperson for the Canton Legends Foundation and their After The Bell, 4:20 Daily Choices program. He encouraged them to study, choose their friends wisely and to get involved in positive after-school activities.  Mr. Robinson is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and played 10 years as an outside linebacker for the Green Bay Packers.  He is a member of the all-decade team for the 1960's.  He was named to three Pro Bowls in 1966, 1967 and 1969.  He played on two Super Bowl Championship teams.  Mr. Robinson is the author of The Lombardi Legacy.  Mr. Robinson signed autographs for the students. He is pictured at left with HCS sixth grader Ben Y., who won an autographed football.
