Eligible, interested families have an immediate opportunity to pursue scholarships for a high-quality, academically-rigorous Christian education at Heritage Christian School. Students currently attending a public school that has been rated in Academic Emergency or Academic Watch for two of the past three years are eligible to apply.  Public school students that will be assigned to such a school in the upcoming school year are also eligible to apply. Students must apply and be accepted for admission to a private school before applying for a state-funded scholarship. The scholarships are not based on income, providing that scholarships are available. Transportation is often available. Act fast. Heritage and state applications must be completed and submitted by the last week of March 2013 in order for Heritage to properly process applications by the state deadline of April 19, 2013. Please plan ahead.
 
The online edchoice applications are submitted by the participating providers (schools) between February 1, 2013 and April 19, 2013 on behalf of the parent, ONLY AFTER the student has been accepted for enrollment by the school.

General Information about EdChoice
According to the Ohio EdChoice website, students who attend or would attend a public school in their resident district that has been rated in Academic Emergency or Academic Watch for two of the past three years are eligible to apply. Public school students attending a school in their resident district that will be assigned to such a school in the upcoming school year are also eligible to apply. Students currently attending a charter/community school whose home school is an eligible school on the list are also eligible to apply.
 
The application period for the 2013-2014 school year will be open Feb. 1 through April 19, 2013.
